Like most birders, I love viewing birds, especially
those that are tough to identify. I also love spectacular birds like trogons
and jacamars. And I'm a confessed raptor junkie. But most of all, I love to
see the looks of amazement and excitement on the faces of people new to Trinidad
& Tobago when I show them some of the countless breathtaking sights there.

One of my other great joys comes from finding a new or rare species of bird. Among the most exciting times I've had on these trips to Trinidad & Tobago have been finding bird species new to Trinidad or Tobago or to South America. These extraordinary sightings have included such wonders as the first Western Reef-Heron for South America and the first Aplomado Falcon, Killdeer, Wilson's Phalarope, and Brown Violet-ear for Tobago.
Who knows what we'll find on our next tour? Come along and find out! |
